Pangea Legal Services (Pangea) seeks to sponsor a rising third-year law student or recent post-graduate law student for a public interest fellowship beginning in the fall of 2018. This position will be based out of Pangea’s South Bay office, currently located in Milpitas, CA and potentially relocating to San Jose. Pangea will work with the applicant to develop a project proposal for Equal Justice Works, Skadden, and other funding, including post-graduate law school funding.
Pangea is a growing non-profit in the Bay Area focused on providing representation to immigrants in deportation proceedings. Any student who is interested in developing a fellowship in one of the following areas should contact us:
1) Provide direct legal representation to detained immigrants in removal proceedings;
2) Expand our community-led defense model; and
3) Partner with the Santa Clara Public Defender’s Office to increase and improve the quality of representation of immigrants with criminal records, including post-conviction relief.
