Co-director & Immigration Attorney

Growing up in a family and community of immigrants in the Central Valley, Gladys is dedicated to defending the rights of migrants.

Gladys joined Pangea in November 2019. Prior to Pangea, Gladys was a student advocate in the UC Davis Immigration Law Clinic. In the clinic, Gladys worked on the enforcement of the Flores Settlement Agreement. In addition, she volunteered at Naturalization and Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) workshops organized by the California Rural Legal Assistance Foundation.

During law school, Gladys worked on criminal defense cases. Gladys interned at the Office of the Sacramento County Public Defender, where she represented clients in preliminary misdemeanor matters and argued several motions before the Sacramento Superior Court of California. Gladys also interned at the Office of the Federal Defender, Eastern District of California.

Prior to law school, Gladys was a paralegal at Van Der Hout, LLP and assisted attorneys in removal defense cases.

Gladys received her B.A. in Political Science from the University of California, Berkeley (’13). A recipient of the Public Service Law Program certificate, Gladys received her law degree from the University of California, Davis School of Law (’19).
