Co-director & PARALEGAL

As an immigrant, Ximena’s commitment to helping and empowering immigrant communities has always been a deeply personal cause.

Ximena joined Pangea in July 2020. Previously, she was a part of the 2019-2020 DreamSF Fellowship cohort at the San Francisco Office of Civic Engagement and Immigrant Affairs. As a fellow, she was placed at Pangea, where she assisted attorneys with country conditions research, translation work, and learned about deportation defense. At her fellowship, she also learned about and became involved with the network of organizations working across the Bay Area to serve its many immigrant communities. Before her fellowship, Ximena served as an Intake Counselor, and later Intake Manager, at the ACLU of Northern California, where she connected community members with legal resources.

Ximena studied English and Political Science at the University of California, Berkeley (‘20). At Berkeley, Ximena served as Campus Liaison for Rising Immigrant Scholars through Education, a campus organization dedicated to securing resources for undocumented students. Ximena also served as the Berkeley Representative for the UC Undocumented Students Coalition, a state wide coalition of students working toward equity in resources for immigrant students across the University of California.

Ximena speaks English and Spanish.
